MDS is Proud to Play a Role in Advancing Canada’s Aerospace Future

John Jastremski, CEO at MDS, leads the NRC Aerospace Research Centre Advisory Board

Innovation is driving Canada’s aerospace industry. The NRC’s Aerospace Research Centre provides support to this effort through facilities, expertise, and industry foresight – all of which result in a constant stream of fresh ideas and new technologies. The Aerospace Research Centre Advisory Board advises on direction and priorities with respect to R&D trends, technology, and innovation.

MDS has a longstanding relationship with the NRC, spanning more than fifteen years. As Chair for the NRC Aerospace Research Centre Advisory Board, MDS’s CEO, John Jastremski, is proud to play a role in advancing technology and supporting innovation in aerospace at the NRC.

François Cordeau, Vice President, Transportation and Manufacturing Division at the National Research Council of Canada, supports MDS’s involvement in the Board. “I am thrilled that Mr. John Jastremski from MDS has accepted the role as Chair of the Aerospace Advisory Board,” he says. “With his support and leadership, he will guide board members and provide strategic advice to the NRC in our continued effort to advance Canadian scientific knowledge and innovation.”

This year, the National Research Council of Canada has launched Advisory Boards for each of its 14 research centres. As leaders in their field, Board members will offer advice on critical technology and innovation issues of relevance to Canada and help the NRC in identifying new R&D projects to bring forward.

“This is a culmination of 15 years of partnership with the NRC,” John Jastremski comments. “I am thrilled to be part of an exceptional and qualified team supporting the NRC as they continue the development of relevant and sustainable solutions to Canada’s current and future economic and environmental challenges.”
