Research & Technology: Scale Model Design and Testing
MDS is proud to announce the development of a scale model of a large aero engine test facility and plan to conduct testing in collaboration with the National Research Council Canada (NRC) in April 2016. As a leader in the industry, we are dedicated to advancing our knowledge in all aspects of engine test facility design and believe this scale model will provide valuable data that can be used to benefit our esteemed customers. Designing a model that will maintain the integrity of a real test facility is no simple task, and MDS is lucky to have such a talented and dedicated workforce to accomplish such a feat. The ultimate goal of the scale model research is to develop a method to test various scenarios and correlate the results with real-world measurements and CFD simulations. Thank you to the NRC for providing guidance, expertise, and the facility for the purposes of our testing.
