First Successful Engine Run with proDAS
Posted on July 21, 2004
MDS Aero Support Corporation (MDS) is proud to announce that proDAS, its next generation PC-based Data Acquisition and Control System, recently performed its first successful engine test on an EJ200 engine at MTU Aero Engines in Munich, Germany. Due to the combined efforts of MDS and MTU Aero Engines personnel, the test was carried out without incident, allowing the engine test to be certified a success.
Of particular interest to MTU was the extensive programming interface to the state-of-the-art data acquisition system, which allowed test data to be programmatically passed to a down stream processing system in real time. This, combined with the reliability of the proDAS acquisition engine, ensured that the engine running time was kept to a minimum.
